Template — review with legal counsel before launch.
This document is a starting point, not legal advice. Have a qualified attorney review and adapt it for your business before you rely on it.
Overview
Leak Autopilot enables local service businesses to send follow-up text messages (SMS) to their own customers, for example to respond to a missed call, follow up on a quote, confirm an appointment, request payment of an invoice, or ask for a review. Messages are sent by the business using Leak Autopilot, on that business's behalf, through Twilio.
Consent (opt-in)
Customers receive SMS messages only after providing prior express consent to be contacted by text by the business they did business with. Consent is collected by the business at the point the customer engages with it, such as when the customer calls, submits a web lead, requests a quote, books an appointment, or otherwise agrees to be contacted.
Consent is not a condition of any purchase. A customer does not have to agree to receive text messages in order to buy any product or service.
Types of messages
Messages are conversational and transactional follow-ups related to the customer's own interaction with the business, such as:
- A reply after a missed call.
- A follow-up on a quote or estimate.
- An appointment confirmation or reminder.
- A reminder about an unpaid invoice.
- A request to leave a review after a completed job.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your interaction with the business (for example, whether you have an open quote, an upcoming appointment, or an outstanding invoice). You will not receive a fixed number of messages.
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
How to opt out (STOP)
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. After you send STOP, you will receive one confirmation message and then no further texts, unless you opt back in. You can opt back in at any time by replying START or by contacting the business directly.
How to get help (HELP)
For help, reply HELP to any message. You can also reach Leak Autopilot at agent@practicalsystems.io. For questions specific to the business that messaged you, contact that business directly.
Supported carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to the carrier's and the messaging provider's capabilities.
Privacy
Mobile information and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Subprocessors that help deliver the service (such as the SMS provider) handle data only as needed to send messages. See our privacy policy for full details on how data is collected, used, and shared.
